ASUS ROG Strix Elegance it is not the typical gaming PC you find in large retail chains. Despite the presence of a prestigious brand within the name - ASUS - what we tested is an assembled that is a computer that includes components selected and assembled with wisdom and passion. However, it was not us who chose the components of this desktop PC but Computer ART, a Monopoly company that has collaborated with the Taiwanese giant to give life to a series of builds aimed at gamers.
The ASUS ROG Strix Elegance review
ASUS ROG Strix Elegance is one of the options on gamingart.com, the Computer Art site, and, as the name suggests, is the most elegant. But before sharing our impressions of this build with you, let's summarize its features:

There are two things you should notice right away. The first is the massive presence of ASUS components, due to the collaboration between the two companies, being Computer Art an official Partner of the programma Powered by ASUS (www.asus.com/campaign/powered-by-asus/it). The second is that all the components created by the Taiwanese giant belong to the ROG Strix family.
These two aspects justify much of the name given to this configuration. But why Elegance? Well, the elegance here is already given by the case. In fact, Computer Art has opted for a white casing, with black details and two magnetic covers that hide, at least partially, the top and bottom of the PC. On the other hand, the left side remains uncovered and on display, where we find a glass panel - easily removable - which allows you to admire the elements that give life to this ASUS ROG Strix Elegance.
The case of Be Quiet! also includes LED inside and outside, which you can customize by pressing the dedicated button found on the upper edge. By default the lighting will be set to “white”, so as to make the composition sober, but you can decide to change the color by opting for another shade or even for the rainbow effect.
We conclude the external overview by signaling the presence, right on the upper side, of a USB-C port, a traditional USB 3.0 port and the 3,5 mm jacks for headphones and microphone.
Let's talk about performance
To properly test this computer we decided to use it for two types of activities: the first is the one for which it was designed, gaming, while the second is video editing. Both tasks are quite burdensome but perfect for understanding what to expect from this assembly.
Let's start with video games. We did the first test with something not particularly demanding. We are talking about Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition. The game, which is not particularly demanding in terms of resources but extremely spectacular from a technical point of view, has given us Stable 60 fps - only 60? At what resolution? smooth animations and first-rate lighting.
But what happens when you switch to a decidedly more demanding game? To find out we launched Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War. While setting the graphic details at most and activating the functions related to the ray-tracing the PC did not give any sign of abating: no slowdowns and no framerate drops not even at the highest resolutions. The gaming experience is satisfying and complete, without requiring any sacrifice from the player.
Our test ended with another particularly challenging video game: Microsoft Flight Simulator. The latest edition of the flight simulator of the American giant immediately gave gamers headaches, thanks to a graphics sector that needs a lot of resources to faithfully reproduce reality. The graphics card ROG Strix RTX 3070 TI however, he did not bat an eyelid even in the face of the substantial requests of Flight Simulator, allowing us to cross the globe without difficulty.
Worried about the car overheating? Don't panic. Keep everything under control ROG Strix LC 240 RGB, for an liquid heatsink which on paper is perhaps simpler and cheaper than other series, such as Ryuo and Ryujin, but which in reality does his job excellently. Of course, it does not have an OLED display and there is no customized water block but it still has everything it needs to do its job in the best possible way: the copper contact plate uses a series of microchannels to help the liquid dissipate heat. the rubber tube adapts perfectly to the mounting needs and the two 120 mm fans guarantee a good air flow without becoming noisy and, above all, annoying.
We didn't encounter any problems even using ASUS ROG Strix Elegance to work. If traditional activities, such as browsing online and consulting files, do not disturb the processor in the least Ryzen 7 5800X and do not bind i 32 GB of RAM, also con Adobe Premiere Pro the situation changes little: the PC can handle the 4K clips and color correction serenely without slowing down the work flow or even the reproduction.
On balance the build of Computer Art behaves flawlessly in any situation, occupying for most of the time only half of the resources that this PC puts at your disposal.
All this, however, has a price: let's talk about 2.399 €. A nice investment for an assembled one though not only does it keep pace now, with the games currently on the market, but it will certainly do so in the future as well. In addition, the case's accessible design allows you to upgrade if you need it.
Why buy an assembled PC?
Once you know that this setup works, why buy a pre-assembled PC instead of assembling everything yourself? The benefits are different. First of all, not all gamers like to engage in this kind of activity, still others prefer not to waste time and finally we have those who have never built a PC and want to avoid doing damage. In short, relying on experts such as Computer Art means having a ready-to-use computer. All you have to do is plug in the power, connect monitors and peripherals and press the power button. Very easy.
Secondly the builds like ASUS ROG Strix Elegance are already tested. So you have in your hands a machine that has already passed the exams and graduated from the computer school. You don't have to worry about any malfunctions or incompatibilities.
Finally, you can count on professionals who not only select the best components for a well-balanced system, but also assemble everything professionally, arranging each element to ensure that the result is also neat and pleasing to the eye. In our ASUS ROG Strix Elegance there isn't even a misplaced cable or anything flying. Anything superfluous is cleverly hidden.
