Spotify has decided to carry out an experiment by developing a specific device for those cars that do not have an entertainment system that allows the use of its application.
At such a point it is an experiment (a kind of "let's see if the bell rings") that the name is more typical of the laboratory than of a commercial product. "Car thing" (Spotify's car) has a touch screen, a button to navigate, voice control and four user-configured buttons to access your favorite areas, such as music, podcasts, playlists, etc.
The user interface uses the Spotify mobile app and can be used with touch controls, 'Hey Spotify' commands or physical navigation using the select button.
Car Thing can be used with a Bluetooth connection or with an auxiliary or USB cable and has a variety of mounting frames to fit any dashboard.
To use it you must be a Premium member and currently shipping is free (you only pay for shipping) in the United States. When it goes on sale it will definitely cost $ 79,99, although Spotify hasn't said when it goes on sale or if it will go international.
