Reaching the highest ranking in Resident Evil 3: Remake takes a fair bit of effort. You probably won't be able to do this on your first attempt. The game is all about setting enemies and item locations, which means you have to fumble around the game a bit before you find out. Once you know what you're doing, it's all about completing a level in a timely manner.
Once the game is over, you will receive a rating based on your performance. The faster you are and the less you save, the better your score.
The S rating requirements for Resident Evil 3: Remake vary depending on your difficulty level. They are five.
- Assisted: You have to clear in 2:30:00 and you can only record 5 times.
- Standard: You have to erase in 2:00:00 and you can only record 5 times.
- Hardcore: You have to erase in 1:45:00 and you can only record 5 times.
- Nightmare: You have to clear in 2:00:00 and you can only record 5 times.
- Inferno: You have to erase in 2:00:00 and you can only record 5 times.
As you move down the difficulty scale to Nightmare and Inferno, the time required increases. This probably happens because the enemies are much harder and you won't find that much ammo.
However, when playing on Nightmare, you won't have an autosave feature, so it becomes more and more difficult to try and make sure you meet these time requirements. You need to cherish every save slot you have and make sure you don't do it too many times.
The best way to achieve these requirements is to memorize the locker and safe combinations, master the perfect dodge for Jill and Carlos, and make the most of your time at each location. Resident Evil 3: Remake It's all about going back and managing your time from one location to another, so figure out the best route to each item you need to progress through the game.
