Mutant League Football is a sports video game published by Electronic Arts to Sega Mega Drive / Genesis in 1993. In 2006 the PSP version PlayStation Portable was also released.
Based on the Madden '93 game engine, Mutant League Football is a hit mix between sports action and war real. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world where radiation has caused the human race to mutate and the dead to come back to life in the form of monsters and zombies. To further complicate the situation of the disastrous planet Earth comes an alien invasion.
Land mines, burning pits, arenas located in deep space are just some of the characteristic elements of the game, whose playing fields are represented by rocky areas, frozen lakes, polluted land and synthetic fields. The player, during the game turn, it can lose energy and even die. Among the various teams featured in Mutant League Football are teams made up of skeletons, aliens, robots, trolls and supermen. The teams consist of 7 players and not 11.
