The best upgrades can cost up to 25+ previews. Previews don't get lost when you die, but Previews are locked to the shell you grabbed them on. If you don't want to spend your life slowly getting enough overviews for the best improvements, you can use this very simple farming method. It's only available after you've cleared at least one of the bosses and returned a gland to the Old Prisoner, but it makes the previews a lot more consistent.
How to Cultivate Insights
Glimpses rarely drop from strong enemies - but they will always drop from Grisha Minibosses. Two Grisha will appear in Fallgrim upon activation mist. This cultivation method is only available once you are done at least one of the boss's temples and returned a gland to the old prisoner.
Once you come back with a gland, you will find Thestus à Tour Fallgrim. At the price of 1 preview, it will turn the haze on or off. Talk to him to activate the haze - two Grisha bosses will appear each time.
- Overview of the stages of agriculture:
- Activate the mist by talking to Thestus in the Fallgrim Tower.
- Defeat the two Grisha mini-bosses who reappear in the mist. Each Grisha gives you +6 glimpses, for a total of 12 glimpses.
- One Grisha appears on the bat-covered tree, and the other appears in the Dead End Bandit Camp, upstream from the Giant Frog NPC.
- Defeat both for +12 Insight, then return to Thestus. Deactivate the haze, then reactivate it to reappear the Grisha.
- Rinse and repeat. You will gain +10 glimpses per run - +12 to defeat the Grisha, and -2 spent in Thestus to reset.
Grisha isn't too difficult if you completely upgrade your favorite weapon. You can buy 2 Quenching Acids from Vlas and earn another with the Fish / Frog Statue near the Fallgrim Tower. There is a lot more to find in the world, so check out our guide in the list above. A fully upgraded weapon makes Grisha's fights very easy.
You don't even have to worry about dying. You don't lose sight if you die. It's easily the best way to get 25+ previews without wasting your precious consumables.
