Buckle up, aviators, it's almost time to pick up Microsoft Flight Simulator again. The next installment of the long-running franchise arrives on PC on August 18, and, for the airplane aficionados among you, there are a few editions available for purchase.
You can pre-purchase your copy of Microsoft Flight Simulator right now, but you might not be sure what comes in each of its three editions. Take a seat and allow us to tell you what each version is equipped with.
Microsoft Flight Simulator Standard Edition
At a cost of $ 59,99 (£ 59,99), the Standard Edition will provide you with a copy of the game, 20 highly detailed planes with unique flight models, and 30 handcrafted airports. The standard version is also available on Xbox Game Pass for PC, if you have this subscription service.
Otherwise, you can buy it from Microsoft digital store. Microsoft Flight Simulator will also be available for purchase as a disc version in European stores through Aerosoft, but there is no listing for that on this site yet.
Microsoft Flight Simulator Deluxe Edition
Priced at $ 89,99 (£ 84,99), the Deluxe Edition gives you five more precise planes to fly with and five other handcrafted airports. The deluxe edition is also available for pre-order through the Microsoft Store, and should be available for purchase through the Aerosoft website closer to release.
Microsoft Flight Simulator Premium Deluxe Deluxe Edition
Finally, the Premium Deluxe edition will set you back $ 119,99 (£ 109,99). You'll receive everything in the other two versions, plus 10 more unique planes to pick up, plus 10 more airports to explore and take off. Again, the best place to pre-purchase this is the Microsoft Store or the Aerosoft website.
Xbox Game Pass for PC pre-orders can be pre-installed starting today, while Microsoft Store pre-purchases will be available from August 18 at 5 a.m.
