As I'm sure you're aware, decisions made during the game can compromise the ending. Each final depends on two main factors: the value of all the War Assets collected and the percentage of Readiness Rating. Obviously there are infinite variables that determine which War Assets you will end up with so we can't go into the specifics and tell you how to get them. Depending on the War Assets you'll get you'll see different game scenes during the final clash. The Readiness Rating, instead, determines the actual military strength of all the War Assets, and is at least 50%. An excellent system to increase the Readiness Rating is the multiplayer, although Bioware has thought of providing other systems, to increase it outside the game. In any case, even at the minimum percentage, all the finals will be within your reach if you make sure you get to the final battle with as many War Assets as possible.
Players who do not have access to online multiplayer can still get the best finals. After completing the game once, new possibilities will open up by starting a New Game Plus. By finishing the game a second time, you will have a secret ending. I RECOMMEND THAT YOU PERFORM A CHAPTER SAVE AT THE BEGINNING OF THE FINAL MISSION; THIS WAY YOU CAN RELOAD AND MAKE DIFFERENT CHOICES TO WATCH A DIFFERENT ENDING.
IF YOU IMPORTED A SAVED GAME WHERE THE COLLECTOR BASE WAS SAVED, THESE ARE THE POSSIBLE ENDINGS:
- If your Readiness Rating is less than 1,750 points, the earth has been destroyed regardless of whether you chose to destroy the Reapers or join them.
- If your Readiness Rating of 1,750 points, if you choose to destroy the Reapers the Earth will be destroyed
- If your Readiness Rating is 2,050 points, if you choose to become one of the Reapers the Earth is saved
- If your Readiness Rating is 2,350 points, if you choose to destroy the Reapers the Earth is devastated but resists
- If your Readiness Rating is 2,650 points, if you choose to destroy the Reapers, the Earth is saved.
- If your Readiness Rating is 2,800 points, you will be able to create synergy between organic and synthetic, saving the Earth and the Galaxy.
- If your Readiness Rating is 4,000 points, if you choose to destroy the Reapers and have "saved" Anderson, Shepard lives
- If your Readiness Rating is 5,000 points, if you choose to destroy the Reapers and you have not "saved" Anderson, Shepard lives
IF YOU HAVE IMPORTED A SAVE WHERE THE COLLECTOR BASE HAS BEEN DESTROYED OR YOU HAVE NOT IMPORTED A SAVE FROM MASS EFFECT 2, THESE ARE THE POSSIBLE ENDINGS:
