There are several endings to Man of Medan, some good, some bad, and one tragic! Of course, all conclusions depend heavily on the choices you made throughout the story and whether or not you made it through the Quick Events.
End 1 - Everyone is alive and the army is being massacred
Keeping all of the characters alive and not letting Conrad escape on the speedboat earlier in the game will result in one of the best endings. The completion of all rapid events will ensure the integrity of the distribution cap, which means the group can leave the ship and sail safely aboard the Duke of Milan. Even Junior survives the ordeal.
However, as long as the gang can survive, the military will arrive aboard the ship and be brutally murdered by Danny with a hammer.
End 2 - Everyone's alive and Conrad saves the day
First and foremost, Conrad must have successfully escaped on the outboard and the distributor cap must be destroyed.
When it seems like all hope is lost for the four remaining characters, Conrad shows up with the Coast Guard! He saves his friends who all board the Coast Guard boat, leaving the ghost ship behind.
The group is reunited and leaves before the army presents itself.
Ending 3 - Everyone survives, but Conrad has a terrible ending
So, for that end, Conrad must escape on the boat earlier in the game, and the Distributor's cap must remain intact. Brad, Alex, Julia and Fliss are going to run away on the Duke of Milan, but Conrad always shows up to save the day.
Both himself and the Coast Guard explore the freighter, Conrad is apparently terrified of what he sees. Which means he hallucinates like his friends did because of the gas and is left to a tragic fate aboard the ghost ship.
End 4 - All survive only to reach a tragic end again
If Conrad never escaped, the distributor's cap was destroyed, the ship's coordinates were not communicated to the military, and no contact was made with the outside world. The survivors would have no way to escape.
If Alex, Julia, and Conrad survive, they will choose to stay on the ship. While Brad and Fliss set off on the Duke of Milan, thinking they can catch a dangerous current.
Fliss and Brad will perish aboard his boat in the middle of the Pacific without any sign of help. Meanwhile, Julia will be seen hearing voices and acting scared, but she will be found by a threatening Alex, very similar to her doppelganger.
End 5 - prisoners of the army
To achieve this, the military must be contacted but not given the name of the ship. Conrad must always be with the group and the distributor cap must be destroyed.
The army arrives completely unconscious of the ship they are moored with, which means they will take the group into custody. The characters give interviews in the same way as the epilogue of Until Dawn. Friends are imprisoned indefinitely.
End 6 - The most tragic end of all… THE BENDS
Now, most people will be aware of the twists and turns and the fact that if Julia appeared too early during the "dive", she could very well have suffered from this lethal condition. If you don't get up too early, good news, you'll avoid the game's saddest ending. But if you haven't decompressed sooner, Julia's fate is sealed.
For the whole game, she is in perfect health. Until the end, you can even forget about the meanders until she squeezes her chest and coughs up blood. This will happen, whether it be on the Duke of Milan, with the Coast Guard or the military.
Alex will attempt to revive her while the group watches. unfortunately, nothing can be done, and Julia meets a grisly end.
End 7 - Everyone dies as a result of a military execution
The worst possible end. If Conrad never escapes you have obtained the clues to know the name of the ship, given the name to the military and destroyed the distributor cap and you are destined to a horrific end.
The army will show up, knowing what the ship is and the biochemical weapon in it, they will do anything to keep it a secret. So just like the group thinks they are safe, that they are leaving the ship, they are wrong.
Once the screen fades to black, a barrage of bullets can be heard, decimating the group.
End 8 - IT'S THE TERMINATOR
Now, if you succeed in the awesome task of killing all five characters before the finale, the curator is going to ridicule you and have a good laugh at your expense. But you'll be treated to a seriously weird post-credits scene.
Danny is going to be wandering around in the boat when he stumbles upon Olson's sledgehammer, sitting in a corner. He'll then find Olson himself in the same spot, and Fliss spotted a screaming corpse earlier in the game. Except it's not Olson, it's Cyclops Olson, and he's ready to finish you off!
This does it for the main purposes. However, there are more unique character dialogues to unlock post credits, depending on who dies and who survives.
