- Adjusted to improve the reaction of deep end defenders to single-receiver side route crossings for highly rated defenders
- Adjusted to slow linebackers' reaction time in coverage of the man against QB
- Fixed a run-block targeting issue with the Gun Wing Flex Wk Inside Zone game
- Fixed a rare issue that caused QBs to appear to use an underpressure pass without actually being under pressure
- New Superstar Abilities and Superstar X-Factor Update, based on NFL player performance up to this point in the 2020 NFL Season
- Fixed an issue that caused defenders of covering humans from a 'block and release' RB to sometimes instantly switch their assignments to blitz when they saw the RB start to block, leaving the RB uncovered once it runs its course thereafter
Newly Added Superstar Abilities
- Film study - Defenders with this ability will have a full view of the games the offense has performed 5 times per quarter; via the coach's camera.
- DEV NOTE: Based on the feedback we received from the Madden 21 beta, we've reworked this ability to provide more balance in our multiple game modes. One of those tweaks is based on players telling us that it was too easy for the ability to activate, which makes it too powerful. In response, the ability will now require a varying number of repeated offensive play calls before activating. This number will increase or decrease based on the current quarter as well as the game's quarter length settings, with the required amount always displayed via X-Factor Vision in pre-game. In addition, the defender's knowledge of these repeated plays will be wiped out at the end of a quarter, giving the offense a little more leeway in the way it executes its play.
- Backlash - Ball carriers with this ability will incur increased fatigue penalties against their tackle when tackled via a non-conservative tackle.
- Recovery - Players with this ability will recover from the effects of fatigue at an increased rate between games.
- Honorary lineman - Non-offensive linemen with this ability will frequently gain impact blocks when blocking defensive backs on the pitch
