A new Luigi's Mansion game was released today, as it should be on everyday Halloween in North America. Luigi's Mansion 3 Luigi, everyone's favorite second brother Mario, must save all of his friends from a haunted hotel. He must again face ghosts and cross each floor of the hotel. We especially love this latest entry in the Luigi's Mansion sub-franchise, check out our review for more.
A big question that people have about the game is how to save the game? Although the game clearly has an autosave feature, that is, it automatically saves players' progress at certain points in the game, but users were wondering if they could manually save the game.
Luigi's Mansion 3: Can you save manually?
The short question is that at the moment there doesn't seem to be a way to save the game manually. Autosave is the only type of save in the game, at least for now. There are no save options in the in-game menus. You may know that auto-save occurs when the words "Save", in green text, are visible in the lower right corner of the screen.

Usually the game is automatically saved every time a player enters a new room, but this will not work if the player rushes to too many rooms in a short period of time. There are also story checkpoints in the game, which work very similar to normal autosave. Rather than a green "record", the control points are "record" in yellow in the lower right corner of the text. Checkpoints are different save files that players can revert to if they want to restore a certain point in the game. This allows players to revert to parts of the game prior to the most recent autosave.
