On July 16, 2019, Tencent dropped a new patch for Arena of Valor and we have a flood of changes on our hands. This time, however, it's not just about the hero / item change on our hands, but an important update in the form of Enchantments, a new hero customization system.
Back to the main page of the AoV level list
So far our Arena of Valor tier list has received a few changes which you can see in the image below. For more explanation of the changes, see the text below the image.
Note that the scale of the changes is huge and it will take a few weeks for the metagame to stabilize. We will update the list several times during this period.
(I'll try to explain the enchantment system, but if you don't get it, no worries just log into the game and once you try it it will make more sense than an explanation. in text format.)
In this new system, there are 4 Enchantments (Afata, Veda, Lokheim and League of Humans). Each enchantment has three stages. Each of these stages gives the player a number of options (2 or 3) to choose from. Phases I and III offer 3 options, while phase II of each enchantment has 2 options.
Additionally, we have three locations, a major location, a minor I location, and a minor II location.
Primary Location [19659004] We can select an option for each of the three stages of the Major Enchantment.
Slot I minor.
For this, we can select one of the options of the first stage of any enchantment (not previously selected by the major slot).
Minor lunge II.
For this we can select one of the options of the second stage of any enchantment (not yet selected before by the main slot).
Here are some changes to the current Arena of Valor tier list:
Abdi - reclassified as legendary. Maloch was already powerful and possessed powerful abilities that dealt both damage and stamina. The reduced cooldowns of these abilities benefit Maloch in more ways than one.
Diaochan - improved in Epic. The added shield fits perfectly with his skills. Expect it to be used a bit more in the coming weeks. We will continue to monitor its status and update it over time.
Violet - reclassified in Epic. Not only because she received a polish, but her enchantment system fits very well into her style.
Capheny - demoted to Bon. She's still a good shot, but with a percentage of her life saved, I can't justify her status as an Epic, even though she's one of my favorites.
Hayate - demoted to Epic. Although still very strong, Hayate has lost some of his dominance with the recent nerves.
Physician - reclassified to the Fair position. It's still a bit exposed and vulnerable, but the increased range of the device does address this to some extent.
Fennik - reclassified Epic. Mainly because of the buffs he received in the last patch. Fennik will play a bigger role in the days to come with increasing attack speed and base, as well as the strength of his passive,
. the game, mentioned in the July 2019 patch notes.
