Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake was officially revealed during Ubisoft Forward's September livestream. The critically acclaimed action-adventure title will arrive on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox next January, but there is one system where confusion has reigned over a remake port.
Nintendo Switch fans had hoped that the remake of The Sands of Time would also launch on the hybrid console. Since its reveal, however, there has been a lot of confusion as to whether it will receive a version of Switch. So, will the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake come to Nintendo Switch?
At the time of writing this article, it seems so. For starters, the game reveal trailer - during the Ubisoft Forward event - didn't include the Switch logo at its end. The Epic Games Store, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and Uplay logos were all present, but Nintendo's console did not make an appearance. This suggested that a Switch port would not be available.
However, fans have found references to a Switch port since the event. Twitter user and Nintendo fanatic Stealth posted a screenshot of Ubisoft France's Twitter account, which mentioned that a Switch version would be coming. Ubisoft deleted the tweet soon after, and while gaming insider Daniel Ahmad suggested the port wouldn't come in January, it looks like a Switch edition will arrive at some point.
Another Stealth tweet also showed a screenshot of the game's official website, which ranked the Nintendo Switch as one of its many platforms.
Also, on the official website. I find it hard to believe, Switch is on the main "Accidentally" game site.
I'm leaning towards the Switch version which is announced at a different time.
