Are party people coming to Xbox?
Party Animals is coming to Xbox at the end of 2020. The Xbox One version will launch alongside the PC version before the end of the year. Recreate Games decided to create a console port after receiving considerable support following the release of the game's demo.
“We were overwhelmed with the reaction to the Party Animals demo at the Steam Game Festival a few weeks ago,” developer Recreate Games said. “It was literally a case of 'cute overload' as the demand exceeded the capabilities of our third-party servers and crashed the game! We never thought the game would be so popular that we had to work around the clock to fix our servers, but we're not complaining! We're glad people enjoyed the game so much, and for a small studio like ours it's a good problem to have.
Since the Xbox Series X is backwards compatible with all Xbox One games, Party Animals will also be playable on Xbox Series X when it launches later this year. It's possible that the game will even look better and perform better on Microsoft's next-gen machine if it receives a patch that allows support for the new console. It could also simply perform better thanks to the raw power of the X series. This also means that the game will also be playable on Xbox Series S as the fully digital machine is also compatible with Xbox One games.
Party Animals is a physics-based brawler, similar to other indie hits like Gang Beasts and Human Fall Flat. Here is the official description of the game straight from the developers themselves. “Here at, build physical bonds with those you love. You can hit your friend in different ways, or together you can take out others. Teamwork is also highly valued, especially when wrestling for gummy bears. The game supports local and online multiplayer and features several wacky stages with dangerous dangers that are sure to wreak a ton of havoc in a multiplayer session.
