These secrets are some of my favorites. It's not just a 1-Up Mushroom in Mario - these secrets matter. We've got secret endings, hidden paths, hard-to-find collectibles, and more. It is almost impossible to find (most) of these secrets yourself, and some of them have entered the lexicon as common knowledge that every player should know. If you don't know the chainsaw in we'll teach you below.
Connect the last point [[]
it's all about inspiration. And once you've learned all the tricks from, you can solve the greatest line drawing puzzle of all. What makes it really special is that you don't have any unique information. If you were open-minded and curious enough, you could solve this puzzle right away without having to play the rest of the game. If you play the rest, it reveals how you can interact with the world - enough that you can finally solve the puzzle that looks you straight in the starting area.
In, you solve puzzles by drawing lines. That's all there is. But the puzzles are extremely varied, becoming more and more complex and curious as you explore the island. Eventually, you will learn that there are puzzles hidden in the environment itself. By simply aligning the angles of the background the right way, you can draw lines on the world itself.
This is where the final puzzle comes in. To complete the game and reach the credits, you just need to draw the ultimate line puzzle. By lining up a line with the sun, you can solve and unlock the exit door to the island within minutes of starting the game. It's an amazing feeling to experience this one for yourself.
Turn for the chainsaw [[]
Here is a much easier secret to explain. In, you can turn around and immediately discover the almighty chainsaw. He is literally sitting right behind you. Otherwise, it will be a while before you get the chainsaw in the rest of the game. Very handy for high difficulty games, giving you an instant upgrade to your melee attack power. Why strike when you can stun the pink demons eternally with your chainsaw?
Don't get involved [[&]
and each has an alternate ending that you can unlock right from the start of the game. These are pretty well known at this point, but that doesn't make them any less cool. Both give you a choice and you can choose not to cause problems. If you don't get involved in the story, don't shake any cages, you'll walk away with your life. It's a pretty fun reversal of the call to action in most games. You can now decline the call.
In, you are invited to the palace of dictator Pagan Min for a meal. When Min is called in to torture one of his enemies, he will ask you to sit still and wait. Most of us are not that patient. But, if you sit down and wait longer than 10 minutes, the evil boss returns and you leave the country safely in a secret ending.
has a less elaborate mirror. At the start of this game, your deputy sheriff is going to arrest the evil leader of a sadistic cult. When you are instructed to handcuff him, you can just wait and refuse. Get out there and avoid the bloody confrontation with the ensuing cult.
