How to get it
Depending on the trophy / achievement, players must complete the game on Survivor difficulty, without the aid of Vita-chamber capsules.
- Disable the Vita-chamber capsules in the Options menu of your game to avoid an accidental auto-awakening that would prevent you from receiving this trophy or achievement. And yes, you still have to do it, glitch or not.
- Save frequently and consider running two game save files in case you are unsuccessful the first time around. This will allow you to load a previous save of the game so you don't have to start over. It would suck.
the Glitch that makes the impossible possible
Okay, so maybe completing the entire game on Survivor difficulty isn't entirely impossible. There is, after all, a trophy / achievement for it. However, this glitch will make it a bit easier to get this reward. In fact, it'll be a cinch, because ironically the final boss is I'm sorry to burst your bubble if you expected more (me too), but I have a feeling a lot of you could be relieved to hear that (and if so, you are welcome!). That being said, you came here for a glitch, so you will have a glitch.
How to perform the Glitch for "I chose the impossible"
- Play through the main stages of on any difficulty level you feel comfortable with, and don't forget to turn off the Vita-chamber capsules.
- To ensure success, create a separate backup file that you can revert to, .
- Fight it boss final, Fontaine, at any lower difficulty level you are comfortable with.
- Defeat Fontaine and AT ONCE pause the game once the screen flashes white. If it isn't blinking white, take a break before you see the auto-save feature start rolling. If you reach the final cutscene, you're too late. That's why you created a separate backup file.
- In the Game Options menu, change the difficulty to Survivor. The game will tell you that changing the difficulty level will affect the trophies, but don't worry - it should work anyway.
- You can now resume the game. Watch the final video and, assuming you have done everything correctly, you will receive your "I chose the impossible”Trophy or achievement. Congratulations!
- If for some reason you don't receive the trophy / achievement at this point, you know what to do. (Hint: the separate backup file. Lather, rinse, repeat.)
