The Obsidian Fishing Rod is a rare looking item that you can receive in Sea of Thieves. Previously, the only way to receive it was to get it on December 16, 2019 from the Donation Calendar, which was an in-game ad calendar type event. However, now you have the chance to get it one more time. by participating in a special event from February 29 to March 2.
You have February 29 at 10 a.m. GMT to March 1 at 10 a.m. GMT to receive the Obsidian Fishing Rod by logging in to watch specific Twitch streamers, for 30 minutes. If you watch the streams during the given time, you receive the item through your Twitch Drops and you can send it back to your account for in-game redemption. You only have 24 hours to watch any of the selected streamers.

None of the streamers on the predetermined time list intend to stream while playing the game. You may have to browse the list to find one while playing. Once you do, you can run it in the background until the 30 minutes expire. You must link your Twitch account to your Sea of Thieves to ensure you receive your reward.
The event will be fast-paced, so be sure to log in on the special day to get your prize. Those who log in on the second day receive Ebon's Flint. The event runs from February 29 to March 2, but the Obsidian Fishing Rod is only available from February 29 to March 1 and the Ebon Flintlock Pistol is available from March 1 to 2.
