When you want to upgrade your The Division 2 weaponry, the best way to go is to acquire Exotics. These exotics do amazing things, and some of them are a bit difficult to locate. Equipment, skills, and weapons are very important in the game. A lot of exotics will want to find the chameleon and it arrived with the release of episode 3. To locate it you have to put some work into it.
The chameleon falls as a random element in the world. You must be very lucky on your side if you want to add it to your collection, rather than doing a simple mission to get it. You can wander the game looking for it if you want to, but players find it especially through two methods: Targeted Missions and Bounties.
For bonuses, open your map menu and find them in the top section. You should have a variety of choices here, showing where the bounties are located around town and how much information you need to get them. You want to locate the ones who are more likely to drop assault rifles, which probably need to get a handful of them before doing some of the harder bounties. The same goes for missions in the city. You can narrow down your mission selection by first doing the ones in districts with increased assault rifle drops, and if that doesn't happen, keep doing the others until they cool off.
Here are the talents you receive with the weapon:
- Adaptive Instincts: Hitting 30 headshots grants 20% critical strike chance and 50% critical strike damage. Hitting 60 shots deals 100% weapon damage for 45 seconds. Hitting 30 kicks grants 150% reload speed for 45 seconds.
- Overlap: While in the holster you gain 5% handling
Additionally, the weapon changes color to match your surroundings, hence the name. The Chameleon is an exotic solid, and a worthy option to add to your The Division 2 collection.
