Scyther is a bug and flying type Pokemon that has been in the series since the very first versions of Blue and Red Pokemon. While not in the base game of Pokémon Sword and Shield, the fan favorite is making its way into the Isle of Armor expansion. Anyone looking to evolve their Scyther into Scizor will also be happy to know that he's back as well. While you could possibly get lucky and find a Scyther in a raid lair, they spawn in the wild area quite frequently. Here's where to find Scyther in Sword and Shield DLC Isle of Armor.

How to get Scyther (and Scizor) in Isle of Armor
Scythers are fairly easy to find on the Isle of Armor. Just head to the Practice Lowlands, which just happens to be the Pokémon's habitat. They appear during any weather pattern, so just show up and you should have a good chance of catching one.
If you are looking to get a Scizor, no worries! It's pretty easy to do too. To evolve into Scizor, a Scyther must hold a layer of metal and be traded, as never since the introduction of Scizor in Generation Two. To get a Metal Layer, head to Stow-on-Side in the main game area (it's west of Hammerlocke). At Stow-on-Side, head left until you find a back alley. Climb the ladders in front of you until you are at the top. There will be a man sitting down with his feet hanging from the roof. The object sitting next to him, the metallic coat you need! If you don't feel like using it to evolve Scyther, you can also use it to increase steel-type moves for another Pokemon.
Obviously, since you need to trade the Scyther to evolve it, be sure to trade it to a friend (locally or on the internet) who will trade it in so you can have your new Steel Bug!
