How to Fix Ant Egg Spawning Bug in Grounded

How to Fix Ant Egg Spawning Bug in Grounded

As you go through your miniature adventure in Grounded, you're going to want to craft some good explosives to create great destruction. Which means you're going to want to find ant eggs to craft these explosives.

Ant eggs are found while venturing into Ant Hill northwest of the game's first field station. However, players are experiencing issues with the eggs not spawning where they should be. which causes some frustration.

Fortunately, there is a fix that has even been approved by the developers themselves:

1. Find the missing worker ants

Wow Quests Video

Eggs are produced by worker ants. If you go up the hill and see few worker ants, it means they are stuck somewhere in the world and cannot produce eggs.

You will have to explore the map and find the ants that cannot return to the hill and kill them. Once you kill them, they will be able to reappear in the colony and they will produce the eggs for you.

2. Kill the ants

If the worker ants are still not producing eggs, you will need to kill enough of them that they need to breed. Start killing the worker ants in the colony, then wait outside for them to reappear. Ants will reappear at 1:30 a.m. in the game.

Also make sure you don't sleep during this time. Sleeping can spoil the egg-laying process.

3. Raising ant eggs

When you've finally produced the eggs, you'll want to make sure you're getting as many as possible at once.

As you enter Ant Hill, you'll want to follow the path in the video below:

You'll come across the first room with eggs in it, and a little further than that room is the second room where they'll spawn. Loot whatever is available, then head outside to allow the worker ants to breed.

Do this enough times and you'll have plenty of Ant Eggs to use in your crafting!

Grounded is out now on PC and Xbox One.
