In NBA 2K21, each player has hot zones and cold zones. Hot zones are places on the pitch where a player is strong at shooting the ball. Knowing players' hot zones ahead of time can be very helpful, as some players may receive a shot boost via the Hot Zone Hunter badge (if a player has this badge) if a shot is attempted in that area. So how do you find a player's hot zones in NBA 2K21? Let's see what you need to do.
One method you can use to check hot spots is to practice with a player. Head over to 2KU by selecting Play Now and from there choose Freestyle. Here you will not only be able to play with the new controls, but also check a specific player's hot spots in training mode. Keep in mind that hot areas will be shown in red, while cold areas, where a player has the most difficulty shooting, will be in blue.
A second method consists of directly accessing the biography of a player. Go to the List tab and select that person's player card. You will need to scroll to the Hot Zones section of the map using LT / RT (for Xbox) or L2 / R2 (for PlayStation).
Finally, you can also check a player's hotspots in MyTeam. As you scroll through your active roster, click on a player, then cycle through the attributes of the card using the trigger buttons until you find the Shooting Cards section.
