How to start a clinch
Xbox - RB + X or RB + Y - Depends on which hand is your main hand.
PlayStation - R1 + square or R1 + triangle
From this initial tightening point there are many things you can do. You can attack your opponent. You can move them around the ring. You can also switch to other types of clinch.
If you want to move your opponent during melee, you can do so by using the left stick. You will not be able to control your opponent for too long in this position. You can transfer to other clinch positions once in the initial clinch. Just use the same entry you used to start the clinch.

How to throw and trip
You can also trip or throw your opponent in melee.
Xbox - RB + A ou RB + B
PlayStation R1 + X or RB + O
How to throw Clinch's elbows
Elbows are among the most devastating attacks in MMA. Throw a bow during the melee using the LB modifier and face buttons.
Xbox - LB + X and A or LB + Y and B
PlayStation - L1 + Square and X or L1 + Triangle and O
How to throw Clinch's knees
The knees are just as dangerous in the clinch. These can be done using the Left Trigger modifier and knee attacks can be used on the legs, body, or head.
Knee to Leg - Press A or B (X or O on PlayStation)
Knee to Body - Left Trigger + A or B (X or O on PlayStation)
Knee to Head - Left Bumper + A or B (X or O on PlayStation)
Take these tactics with you when you return to the Octagon and you'll be sure to give your opponents a hard time. Strong knees and elbows, as well as other attacks during melee can reduce your health and score you points on the scoreboards.
