With the arrival of Netflix in the city, many registered users of the platform have completely revolutionized the way to watch movies and TV series. As you well know, the service is available on various devices such as smartphone, tablet, PC, smart TV, Apple TV, Google Chromecast. The Mountain View company, however, together with its Chromecast, manages to offer some really interesting and probably better features than all the other brands.
In fact, if you have a Chromecast, you can connect it to your Google Assistant voice assistant (to be used on your phone, tablet and smart speaker) to access and play content on Netflix, simply by using your voice.
Select Netflix among the Google Assistant players
With the procedure that we will list below, anyone can link their Netflix account to Google Assistant to quickly play the entire catalog of the streaming service. This link however, it's not just limited to TV playback (Chromecast required), but on all devices with the Netflix application and your account. First, let's see how to do the operation:
- Download the Netflix application on your device ed log in
- Call up Google Assistant and swipe up to see updates
- Click on the profile photo at the top right
- Proceed with "Settings" and then with "Services"
- Continue with "Videos and Photos"
- Connect your Netflix account by clicking on "COLLEAGUE" in blue and then on “COLLEAGUE ACCOUNT”
Immediately after logging in, you will be prompted to choose the default account in case you are sharing your subscription with multiple people. Once this is done, you can call the assistant back at any time and ask “Riproduci XXXX su Netflix”. If, on the other hand, you want to take advantage of the TV screen with Chromecast connected, the sentence to say will be: “Riproduci XXXX su Netflix in TV”.
