Necessary
Before seeing in detail how to clean the phone camera, make sure you have all thenecessary necessary to proceed with the cleaning operations that I will show you in the next lines. What do you need to clean your phone's camera lens? Contrary to what you might think, you don't need who knows what products to proceed.
All you need is a microfiber cloth or, failing that, a deerskin cloth or, again, in suede leather to be moistened, if necessary, with some drop of water.
Vedi offers your AmazonI recommend: do not use abrasive cloths, paper towels or compressed air products for any reason: they could cause irreparable damage to the lens (for example by dulling it), which would seriously compromise the functioning of the cameras of your smartphone.
Be aware that I do not take any responsibility for any damage you may cause to your smartphone by trying to clean its cameras. Clear? Then let's get started.
How to clean your phone's camera well
Once you have found the equipment you need, you can finally proceed. Let's see, therefore, how to clean the phone camera well. Below I'll explain how to proceed for both the front and rear cameras. Clearly, the indications apply somewhat to phones of all brands.
Front camera
Let's start with cleaning the front camera. Before explaining how to proceed, I want to make a brief remark on the position in which this can be found. On the latest generation smartphones, in fact, the front camera can be implemented in different ways.
To go into more detail, on iPhones with Face ID and on some Android smartphones, the camera is located in the notch (the "notch" at the top of the screen); alternatively, it could consist of a forum positioned at the top right, top left or top center of the screen. On other devices, especially those of the medium-low range and / or older ones, the camera is located in the cornice top of the device.
Once you've found the location of the phone's front camera, you can clean it. Take, therefore, the microfiber cloth or the one in deerskin or suede leather in your possession and pass it gently over the lens, performing a small circular motion. Repeat this over and over again until you get the desired result.
If a large amount of dirt is deposited on the lens, which may have become encrusted due to the elapsed time, lightly moisten the cloth with 2-3 drops of water and pass it one more time. Before using the camera again, remember to dry the part you have moistened.
Rear camera
After cleaning the front camera, it's time to move on to the rear camera. The steps to be taken do not differ too much from those I have illustrated above, so you can be sure that you will not have any problems about what to do.
Again, in fact, you have to take the microfiber cloth (or the one in deerskin or suede leather, it depends on what you have available) and pass it very gently on the camera (or on the cameras, if you have a smartphone in multi-lens configuration). In doing so, execute small circular movements until you get the desired result.
If necessary, moisten the cloth a little with a few drops of water, so as to remove traces of dirt and particularly persistent encrustations. If you opt for this second option, remember to wipe the part you passed with the damp cloth and that's it.
Retractable camera
There are also smartphones equipped with retractable camera: a solution adopted by some manufacturers to create borderless devices, without notches, holes, etc. which, in some ways, could be considered "unsightly".
As for the cleaning operations to be performed on the retractable camera, all you have to do is open theCamera app (fundamental operation to activate the mechanism that makes the lens appear) and clean the camera following the same instructions that I gave you before (therefore performing delicate circular movements on it using a microfiber cloth or in deerskin or chamois leather).
When cleaning the retractable camera, I invite you to be more careful than usual: if you exert too much pressure while performing the aforementioned cleaning operations, in fact, you would risk breaking the mechanism that makes the lens appear and disappear. Understood?
