Marvel's Avenger was unveiled at E3 2019, and it will launch on September 4, later this year. The game can be played solo or in co-op with up to four players. In the game, you will be able to step into the awesome shoes of Iron Man, The Hulk, Black Widow, Thor and Captain America. However, you won't need to wait until September 4th to get your hands on the game, as there will be a beta for the game before then.
How to access the Marvel Avengers beta
There are three different beta versions that players can participate in, the first occurring on PlayStation 4 for people who have pre-ordered the game. After that comes a beta for people who have pre-ordered on Xbox and PC beta, and the version Open beta on PlayStation 4. Finally, there will be an open beta on all platforms.
It just gets a little complicated, so we'll break down all the dates and platforms for you below:
- August 7 - PlayStation Pre-Order Beta
- August 14 - Xbox and PC Pre-Order Beta
- August 14 - PlayStation open beta
- August 21 - Open beta on all platforms
Prior to the start of the various Beta Weekends, Crystal Dynamics will host a War Table Presentation on July 29 at 10 a.m. PT. During this presentation, they will detail what you can expect during the beta. You will be able to watch the War Table on the official Marvel Avenger website.
In a statement released with the details of the beta, Creative Director Shaun Escayg said, "We've designed the beta so that you can experience most of the things you will do in the full game." The beta will feature story missions, co-op missions, hero and world progression, as well as War Zone and Drop Zone exploration, all of which will be detailed during the War Table event.
