How many campaign missions are there in Marvel's Avengers?

Before jumping into the live-action online multiplayer of Marvel's Avengers, players will want to go through the Crystal Dynamics single-player campaign. The "Reassemble" campaign tells the story of the Avengers reuniting five years after the "A-Day" disaster in San Francisco. There are 17 missions in the Marvel's Avengers campaign, all of which are listed below with the location of each mission. This list does not include the scenes in the central areas of the Chimera and the Anthill, but rather the main missions which feature the combat and exploration of the game.

While Marvel's Avengers tells its own cohesive story, players will be quite limited as to who they can play and who they can play the missions with. For the most part, players will take control of the pre-selected characters to move the story forward. At times, the game will change which character the player controls in the middle of a mission. These missions were designed as single player experiences, and most of them do not support matchmaking.

Besides Campaign Missions, players can use the War Table in Chimera or Ant Hill to choose from different Warzones, Drop Zones, Iconic Missions, and Sectors, among other activities.
