State of Decay 2 All the actions you perform have an impact on the development of your controlled character. Each skill develops on its own - you don't have to do anything except perform actions that increase your experience in that specific field. Just run, fight, shoot and search areas. Below you can find useful information about all the basic skills and some tips that can help you develop your community.
Character Progression
State of Decay 2 Each survivor has certain skills and characteristics that shape their general abilities. Each character has four basic skills: Cardio, Combat, Firearms Skills, and Ingenuity.
- Cardio: one of the basic skills that determine the level of your endurance. Endurance has an impact on how long a character can run or fight. To regenerate it you need to rest or snack. Cardio can be increased by running.
- Combat - Each level of this skill increases a character's maximum health level. After reaching level 4, your character can choose the specialty of melee weapons. Combat increases when you kill zombies with melee weapons.
- Firearms - This skill determines a character's mastery of firearms. Higher levels reduce recoil and improve accuracy. After reaching level 4, your character can choose the specialty of his or her firearm. The skill increases when you kill zombies with firearms.
- Ingenuity - This skill increases your ability to search for containers, crates and other places that may contain supplies. Higher levels increase your speed and reduce the noise created during your search. Ingenuity is developed by gathering resources.
Once you have reached the maximum level of a certain skill, you will be able to choose one of two additional specialties that can greatly increase the skills of a certain character. For example, when a Scout reaches the maximum Ingenuity, he or she receives the ability to search for containers faster.
Community and trade development
In addition to surviving in the harsh world of State of Decay 2 Cardio, players must also create a thriving community that can take care of themselves. You will encounter individual survivors and even entire groups that somehow managed to survive. Some of them can join you immediately, while others will need your help, for example you can add them to your community by saving them from immediate danger or by doing tasks for them.
Remember not to risk your character's life if a mission given by a survivor requires a different skill set. In such cases, it's best to return to your base and prepare yourself so you don't risk losing potential new companions before they even enter your community.
Another thing worthy of note is that the saved characters can offer you various goods that can be purchased from them. You can also sell them useless items. Some characters may also have items that are very useful in their quests or unique items that cannot be obtained in any other way.
