GRID Multiplayer Guide 2019

Since 2014, it seemed as if the LA GRILLE series, formally TOCA, had been put to pasture. The ninth entry GRID Autosport It wasn't a bad game and had been received quite favorably by gaming websites and publications, but maybe due to overexposure it didn't seem to hit the mainstream as much. than the previous ones, and, for all intents and purposes, it seemed Codemasters had decided to cut their losses and move on.

That was until May 21 of this year when it was announced that the franchise would be relaunched with GRID 2019. Released on October 11, the new game is very heavily focused on the career mode, but for those of you who like to have fun around the circuit with a few friends or against people online, this option is also available.

So what do you get in multiplayer? Let this handy guide show you the way.

GRID Multiplayer Guide 2019

Quick match

First up is Quick Match, which does what is written on the tin. By choosing this mode, you will find yourself in a lobby with other players, and the game will decide what type of race you are going to undertake from an ever-changing roster.

Once the lobby is full it's time to pick your vehicle and in all fairness it's best to have played in Career mode before entering this or any other multiplayer game you like which means you can use your car. , which you will have no doubts to weigh as much as possible, provided you have one. If you don't have what you need, you can opt for a race loan, but this will require a reduction in any earnings you make as payment for using it. So it might be worth putting in the hours to finish the main game.

Private Match

Private Match is the place to go if you want to test your skills or if you fancy spending hours embarrassing your friends. If you're the lobby host, you can choose which race you're going to play in, and you can customize the hell out of it.

You can then invite all of your friends to join you or, if you want a real challenge instead of running rings around Kevin in Accounting for the 19th time, you can compete against other players around the world to see how how good you are. .

Want to add a qualifying round? Do not hesitate. Want to do terminal damage? So be guests of Codemasters. All in all, if you can think of it, then Private Match will let you do it.

Skirmish

This mode is the closest thing to the new version of Destruction Derby and is probably the most fun of the three available. Skirmish is the default game you get when heading into the Multiplayer Lobby. It's such a simple idea that I'm surprised more racing game developers haven't thought about it.

Once you enter a lobby, you are instantly plunged into skirmish mode. Here you will find yourself at Jupiter Eagleray Mk5 on eight circuits and the point of the drill is that there are no turns, no roads and no rules. Just go far away and cause as much damage as possible.

Magnificent.
