Ghost Recon Breakpoint offers a wide variety of different weapons and equipment that your character can carry. You may recognize a handful of their names as you continue to play the game, but their passive perks and gear score will vary. The equipment score of an item of equipment determines your character's power. You will notice an increase in your character's speed, but you will also see a strict color associated with it. These are levels. Here's what the Breakpoint weapon and gear levels mean.
Weapon and Equipment Levels in Ghost Recon Breakpoint
There are five different weapon and gear levels in the game that you have to worry about. Here they are:
- White - Common
- Green - Uncommon
- Blue - Rare
- Violet – Epic
- Yellow - Signature (legendary)
For those who have played any form of loot, you will recognize the formula. You have your basic weapons, your advances and those you will gain by playing enough. There is no shortage of tropes for this game, so you won't be able to enter it blindly.
If you want the best equipment possible, you want to make sure that you have the best equipment possible. Do you want to earn more purple (epic) gear? Next, you want to make sure that your character has more blue gear every time you take out an opponent or loot a particular base in a region. If you buy a new item from a base or an enemy after removing it, take the time to equip yourself to increase your chances of playing. These will take effect immediately and you will notice.
They work the same as if you want to grind Gear Score. Gear Score does not equate to the quality of the gear. You can have a purple item at level 65, but if you have a green item at level 90, it will be a higher item for your character. Make sure you have the best Gear Score item rather than just looking at the Gear level when you equip it.
For those looking to get signature weapons, you need to spend some time doing special missions in the game. These will be separate missions that you will need to complete while playing them.
