Of course, the group of warriors from another world will have to meet a few conditions to undertake the three-part raid. A new character will not be able to head straight for the Punitive Mission, nor will they be able to face the Skillful Forces. Here's how to prepare for the first day raid.
How to prepare for The Tale of Iyo Raid
It goes without saying that completing the story missions in Ghost of Tsushima: Legends should be your top priority. While Sucker Punch didn't point out completing the co-op campaign as a requirement, the raid closes the tale. Without revealing any spoilers, players are strongly recommended to start here. In addition, you only need to play the story to earn new equipment, which is the following requirement.
Regardless of your prowess with a katana or a bow, a Ki level of 100 is the recommended minimum for The Tale of Iyo. To put this prerequisite into perspective, 110 is currently the maximum cap for the Ki level. A player's Ki level is the equivalent of the Equipment Score attribute found in countless service titles. Playing the Story and Survival missions, especially the Gold difficulty missions and the weekly Nightmare challenges, will be required to get the Ki level equal to or above 100. You can also use Honor to reforge gear for a higher score.
The last preparation to be done takes place outside the game. You will have to… socialize. The Tale of Iyo has a strict 4 player requirement and the mode doesn't support matchmaking like other missions. A preformed team must be ready to face the raid. Start coordinating with your friends or fellow gamers in the forums to lock out party members.
If you haven't started in Legends yet, you can still start the journey to be ready for the raid. Take a look at our Samurai, Hunter, Ronin, and Assassin class guides to determine which warrior best suits your preferred playstyle.
