ScreenCam may not have all the functions of other Android screen recorders but it takes care of more than the essentials, allowing you to change the video bitrate, recording resolution and framerate to use (up to 60fps).




It also receives regular updates and offers the ability to add floating widgets that allow you to quickly check your recordings from any screen. One notable omission at this point is the lack of a Picture-in-picture mode, so you can't record with the front camera while recording the screen.

If you want to avoid downloading third party apps, especially want to record game content, you can just use the app Play Games official on your Android device.


Open the Play Games app, go to a game's information page, then tap the "Register”At the top of the screen. You'll have options to record in 480p and 720p, so not super high resolution, but it's built in so you don't have to complain.

You can change settings such as resolution, frame rate, bit rate or even insert a text message or logo along with the recorded screen cast. Microphone recording is supported so you can record both video and audio.
