As for Facebook on the desktop browser, there is nothing that Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari and the singer company on duty cannot do, however there is a circle of users - in particular those who use Windows 10 on tablets or those who prefer to use the app also on the desktop - who would prefer to have aFacebook native app that allows you to do everything, without limitations.
Mark Zuckerberg he had promised users Windows 10 something like this both for the main app and for the dedicated messaging app, and so it was: in fact, both the new version of Facebook (which will replace the existing one, already available starting from Windows 8) that the new Messenger app. At the time of writing the app they are not available on the English Store, however, the release is progressive and will most likely arrive in the next few hours.
Much more like their Android and iOS counterparts, both apps do exactly what they are supposed to: the main app Facebook for Windows 10 indeed allows for add reactions, the stickers in the comments, provides one column for events and birthdays and a small internal browser to facilitate the sharing of content, in addition to the classic features already present in the app for Windows 8. For the moment no Live video, however, these should arrive shortly.
The app Messenger for Windows 10 it is basically a version of the webapp recreated for Windows 10, which supports the sharing photos, stickers, GIFs and group conversations; nothing to do for voice calls, video calls and capturing photos and videos directly from the app, that they do not appear at least in this first version.
Incidentally, Messenger for Windows 10 integrates notifications with the operating system - this means that with every message received you will see the relevant notification in the Action Center of system.
The apps have been launched on the store only for Windows 10 Desktop, and will arrive in the second half of the year also for Windows 10 Mobile, according to what Microsoft itself declares. You can download the two apps from Windows starting, in all likelihood, from the next few hours.
