Valorant's blend of shooting and Overwatch styling abilities mean the game offers a unique blend of old and new shooting mechanics. From Riot Games and free to play, anyone can participate. However, as with all games that offer an online-only experience, there will sometimes be issues that will cause the game to go offline or stop in certain regions.
One such error code that appears for Valorant is error code 59, which appears when you try to load the game on the boot screen. It is accompanied by the message "An error occurred while connecting to the platform. Please restart your game client. ”Repeated attempts to restart the client, however, appear to display the same message.

Currently, the error code is not recognized on the Valorant Error Codes website, which was last updated during the closed beta phase of the game at the time of writing. This means that this is probably new code related to the game, and as such, there is no concrete information about the nature of the error. However, with the error message stating that the problem was with the connection to the platform, it is likely that one of the servers linked to it, such as authentication servers typical of online games only , is experiencing a downtime.
As such, there is no workaround for this on the player's side. The only action you can do is wait until the issue is resolved on Riot's end. Keeping an eye on the game's Twitter will also highlight any major issues the developer is aware of.
