The launch of Samsung Galaxy Note 21 it is still a mystery, there are those who think it is around the corner and those who argue that the company wants to concentrate on folding smartphones, perhaps launching a Fold with S Pen. Some sources predict that Samsung will eliminate the Note range in 2021, making way for a foldable smartphone equipped with an S Pen, the Z Fold 3. But a greater amount of rumors, however, claim that at least in 2021 the Note range will remain. If that is true, and if Samsung sticks to tradition, we should expect the Note 21 ad August 2021.
No specific features have been leaked yet, but the Note 21 is thought to have an display larger than 6.8 inches. We might even see one selfie camera under the screen, so no notches or holes. In fact, Samsung recently filed a trademark for its new technology: UPC, which stands for Under-Panel Camera. It will bring the camera sensors under the active pixels of TVs and under the displays of smartphones.
Speaking of design, not many surprises are expected. Samsung should stick to its Note line from previous years. There is a exterior mainly in glass and Samsung is supposed to continue with the finish introduced with the Note 20 Ultra, with some metal design elements.
Being a flagship, the Note 21 will certainly have flagship processors. In the US it will have a Snapdragon, most likely one Snapdragon 888 at 5nm, and for the rest of the world a Exynos 2100. We will then certainly see a decent amount of RAM and there will certainly be no shortage of storage space available. There S Pen, then, as per tradition, it will be part of the device. Of course, the Note 21 is also expected to come with 5G.
As for the photographic sector, it seems there will be one triple camera configuration for the normal version. Then a main wide angle sensor, an ultra wide angle sensor and a telephoto lens. The Ultra version could instead have a 108MP sensor, two telephoto lenses - one 3x and the other 10x - and the ultra wide-angle camera.
Price and availability
As anticipated, Samsung could present the new Galaxy Note 21 in August, so in a few weeks, probably together with the announcement of the new folding smartphones Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3. As for the price, probably it will start at more than 1000 dollars. But everything is still in doubt and all that remains is to look forward to further official news.
