This is where we come in. We're here to tell you about the plot of the Control AWE DLC, new abilities or service weapon form that exists, when it will release, and what platforms it will launch.
What is the release date of Control AWE?
Control's AWE DLC will arrive on Thursday, August 27. It's a day before the game's first anniversary.

AWE will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC through the Epic Games Store. Unlike The Foundation DLC, AWE will release simultaneously on all platforms.

What is the plot of Control AWE?
The players will take over the role of Jesse Faden, the director of the Federal Bureau of Control. Jesse will explore the investigative area of the oldest house, the headquarters of the FBC, after its abrupt closure many years ago. The area was shut down after a particular AWE - Altered World Event - went horribly wrong, and Jesse will have to follow a mysterious being who haunts the abandoned area.
The DLC will also allow players to discover more about the mystery of Bright Falls. The city was the scene of a prominent AWE involving a writer called Alan Wake, which as some gamers know was a Remedy game launched in 2010. Remedy has confirmed that all of its games are housed in a connected universe, we'll see. so soon how the two titles are related.
What's new in the Control AWE extension?
There is unlikely to be a new power to learn. The Foundation expansion has given players two new players to master, and there is no word on another available in AWE.
There is, however, a new form of service weapon called Surge. This sticky grenade launcher contains four explosives that can be triggered from a distance and will come in handy in taking out those hordes of Hiss enemies that you will encounter.
Players can also locate a modified item in the form of an arcade machine to replay certain elements of the base game. Interacting with the machine will allow you to replay four campaign boss battles and the beloved Ashtray Maze section of Control.
The machine will also allow you to participate in some type of Horde mode game, among other secrets, and you can earn a new outfit for Jesse to complete specific tasks in the arcade machine.
