Elden Ring: new Confessor and Samurai classes revealed
Elden Ring's official Twitter account has unveiled two new starting classes that will be present in the full game: the Confessor and the Samurai, which have also been shown with an image, which you can see below.
The Confessor is described by Elden Ring's story as "an ecclesiastical spy skilled in covert operations". She is equally skilled with the sword and in the use of spells."
The Samurai, also described by Elden Ring's account, is "a skilled warrior from the distant Land of the Reeds". He can use the katana and the longbow.
These two classes are in addition to those already introduced in the last period, the Bandit, the Astrologer, the Warrior, the Prisoner, the Wanderer and the Hero. Each class has its own starting equipment and levels pre-assigned to certain stats. As always, each class is just a starting point, but it doesn't prevent you from completely revolutionizing your character over the course of the adventure, turning a warrior into a mage or vice versa.
However, the variety of classes seems remarkable, at least from a stylistic and "narrative" point of view, with different types of cultures mixed in. Hidetaka Miyazaki's previous games were much more "homogeneous", while Elden Ring seems to vary the cards more.
