STAR CITIZEN FREE: FREE FLIGHT EVENT FOR FEBRUARY UNVEILED, DATES AND CONTENT REVEALED
Following criticism over Star Citizen's postponements and new roadmap, Cloud Imperium announces a new Free Flight, the event organized from time to time by the Chris Roberts-led team to give PC gamers free access to a generous package of content and activities from the sci-fi blockbuster.
The opening of this new promotional window offers the curious the opportunity to immerse themselves in the Star Citizen atmosphere and try out some of the most representative challenges of its layered sandbox experience.
At February's Free Flight, all event participants will have access to a wide range of free starships and discounts on starter content packs selected by the Cloud Imperium Games team. The list of starships that will be available to pilot during Free Flight will include the RSI Aurora MR, Origin 100i, Consolidated Outland Nomad, Drake Cutlass Black and MISC Prospector.
In terms of gameplay, the test will focus on battles taking place in the arenas of Star Citizen's Jumptown 2.0 module, which features large-scale skirmishes between law enforcement and criminal factions engaged in interplanetary trafficking of illegal narcotics.
If you're interested, Star Citizen Free Flight runs from today, Thursday, February 17, and continues through Friday, February 25. Veteran pilots who invite friends to try it out will receive an in-game "boost bonus" of 5,000 credits and a free pack of Lodestone armor and Quirinus Tech and Gemini sniper rifles.
