Eriana's Vow is an interesting new exotic hand cannon coming to Destiny 2 with Shadowkeep. The gameplay I have seen is reminiscent of a Hand Cannon that almost plays like a bow. It also combines some exciting perks that potentially make it a nightmare in the hands of a skilled PvP player.
How to get Eriana's wish
It's good news or bad news, depending on your perspective. Eriana's Wish is tied to Destiny 2's new Season Pass. People who purchase the Premium Pass will have access to the weapon at Rank 1, while subscribers to the Free Pass will have access to the weapon at Rank 35. This means that no quests or weird hoops will be taken; it's just part of the Season Grade rewards you'll get for playing the game.
It's also worth noting that if you've purchased Shadowkeep, you have the Season Pass. So you're good to go with this new Exotic as soon as you log in.
Looks Can Kill, by its inherent advantage, "this weapon shoots special ammunition that pierces the shield. It comes with a rifle scope." It also features the Death at First Glance trait, "Damage bonus when you aim for the first shot of an attack. This bonus is retained if the shot deals precision damage or hits an elemental shield."
From the wording, I consider this to mean the first shot against a target and it is not necessary to reload to collect the bonus against a new target, but I will need to enter the game and test it.
The weapon also maximized impact and range stats, meaning people with precise aim will be lethal, but the slow firing rate of 90 rounds per minute tempers them somewhat.
