There are three Lifepaths available in Cyberpunk 2077 - Street Kid, Nomad, and Corpo. The choice dictates more than the starting area. It will build the backstory of the main character V and provide unique opportunities, ideas and experiences throughout the expansive gameplay. Jackie Welles' introduction and connection to V is also established through the chosen Lifepath. This component of character creation should not be taken lightly. Luckily, we're here to help you make an informed decision on the Lifepath that's right for you.
Cyberpunk 2077 Lifepaths
Street child
The Street Kid is part of the community and knows Night City inside and out. This itinerary begins the trip at the El Coyote Cojo dive bar in the Heywood district. Giving V the Street Kid their experience gives them a wealth of knowledge, both about the streets and the people who occupy them. Connections are essential and you will have a lot to rely on. If running around with “badges” and navigating gang rivalries sounds like fun, the Street Kid is a no-brainer.
Nomadic
The Nomad is the only one of the three to begin their journey outside of Night City. The Badlands, a barren wasteland surrounding the urban environment bathed in neon lights, is home to this story. V is placed in the desolate wilderness, where there are equal family ties and mortal danger. Nomads may not litter the streets in the same numbers as street children, but the sense of community is no different. Those looking for fast cars, small towns, and a little Mad Max vibe will feel right at home with this Lifepath.
Corp (Company)
V can get a glimpse into the twisted corporate world that dominates the modest inhabitants of Night City. Here, V is an Arasaka agent in the downtown business district. Life for the elite is teeming with high-end cybernetics and recreational drug use. More importantly, this Lifepath allows V to peek behind the curtain of a megacorp, rubbing shoulders with the upper level acting as the lifeblood of the city. The Corpo Lifepath gives V access to critical information the same way the Street Kid does, except at the opposite end of the spectrum. A lavish start awaits those who are ready to dive into the ruthless corporate world.
Don't let the decision stop you from getting started. Cyberpunk 2077 is asking to be replayed, and the two Lifepaths that weren't picked the first time around are sure to provide enough motivation to take it another round.
