In this section of the guide we will reveal how to Bloodborne survive the dark Yharnam and its crazy inhabitants by revealing the secrets of the game in a series of tips that will be of vital importance to the new Hunters!
TO SURVIVE YOU HAVE TO DIE
Don't take the many defeats that you will suffer too personally, it is clear that sometimes you will want to break the game disc while cursing against a god who doesn't listen to you but death Bloodborne is part of the experience. Dying means analyzing and understanding where the mistake that made you lose has been, dying is evaluating and trying again with the right awareness and also dying will take you into the DREAM OF THE HUNTER, a place where you can buy useful items, upgrade weapons and parameters.
TO SURVIVE YOU MUST DODGE
In Bloodborne there is no possibility to defend yourself but there is the possibility to dodge attacks. The vast majority of enemy attacks, and even Bosses, can be skillfully dodged by pressing the circle button and the direction in which to dodge. On some occasions you'll feel you don't stand a chance so don't be afraid and act like a coward, dodging and running away waiting for a better chance. By studying your enemies, you'll soon understand their movements and you'll be able to dodge all their attacks.
If you get hit, remember that you can immediately recover some of the lost life energy by hitting the enemy quickly.
TO SURVIVE YOU NEED TO KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR STAMINA
Under the Life Points bar you will notice a green bar that wears out with each action. This is the Resistance bar that you will have to keep a constant eye on during fights to avoid running dry. The bar will recharge as soon as you stop attacking, shooting or dodging. If you insistently attack a monster, the attacks made with the unloaded bar will be slow and will not block the combos of enemies that will be free to attack you and tear you to pieces as you can no longer even dodge for the resistance reduced to 0. During the fighting therefore trying to find your rhythm between attack, dodge and rest, the right balance between these actions will allow you to better face each fight.
TO SURVIVE YOU MUST UNLOCK THE AUTOMATON
In the DREAM OF THE HUNTER you will see a large BAMBOLA sitting motionless at the beginning of the stairs leading to the church. This is the AUTOMA character able to use the ECHI DEL SANGUE collected in Yharnam to enhance your parameters. With each enhancement will increase the cost in Echoes of the next but you will level up and always increase the parameters of defense, regardless of the chosen enhancement. Before you can face a Boss or start wandering almost quietly in the first areas of Yharnam you will have to reach level 20 or higher. To awaken the automaton from its sleep you'll have to reach a boss for the first time. The first ones you will find are the Cleric Beast and Father Gascoigne, you only need to reach one of them, of course you will be massacred but you will wake up in limbo where the automaton is waiting for you standing and ready to provide its services.
IN ORDER TO SURVIVE, YOU HAVE TO GET STRONGER
To begin with, the best features to upgrade are definitely the attack value of the white weapon and the resistance that will become longer is faster in reloading. If you want you can start to upgrade even a few life points but as for the other features better wait for the more advanced stages because initially you will not be very useful. Strengthen yourself but it's not enough, we'll also have to upgrade our armamentarium. On the streets of Yharnam there are special stones called GEMME DEL SANGUE, which can be used to upgrade weapons inside the church on top of the Hill in the Hunter's Dream. These gems are often hidden along with other important objects in the game world so pay attention to your surroundings.
TO SURVIVE YOU HAVE TO LOOK AROUND
In the world of Bloodborne there is no default way to follow but there are numerous secret passages and shortcuts hidden by elements of gameplay. Often they are reduced to small detours but sometimes they can lead you to discover a new area with other enemies, bosses and secret objects. Always try to destroy everything and look in every ravine because the labyrinthine Yharnam is a city full of mysteries.
TO SURVIVE YOU HAVE TO RUN
We don't always have to fight all the enemies in each area, very often we can simply run to overcome them and reach new paths to explore. Once again the parameter of resistance on which the race depends comes back into play. Having good stamina will help you run faster and for longer, think about it carefully during power-ups.
TO SURVIVE YOU HAVE TO LISTEN TO THE INHABITANTS
In the city of Yharnam you will find red lanterns hanging or resting on the ground next to some doors. The lanterns indicate that you can knock on the door and that a city dweller will answer you with information about the game, treating you like a "dirty foreigner" or proposing some quests. There are several submissions that require you to deliver items, find safe places, kill beasts and much more that will provide you with rich rewards for weapon and character upgrades. So listen up because Yharnam is watching.
TO SURVIVE YOU MUST KILL THE PREY
The bosses of the game are called Prey. Killing them will unlock a new lantern and you can restart the game starting from the place where you eliminated the boss. In addition to this you can get large quantities of Blood Echoes and precious objects that will be added to the inventory or unlocked in the shop inside the Hunter's Dream. Some of these items are used to continue the adventure by giving you access to new areas of Yharnam. Others are very powerful weapons that you can use only after you have reached the required level in the parameters of the weapon.
TO SURVIVE YOU HAVE TO SAVE SHOTS
Firearms work with Mercury bullets soaked in the hunter's blood. Precisely for this reason they consume vital energy and should be used as if they were Jokers to play in the most difficult moments. Firearms are particularly useful to break up the combos of enemies, especially those of the bosses who will often remain numb allowing you to hit them to death with your white weapon.
TO SURVIVE YOU HAVE TO LISTEN TO THE MESSENGERS
The little white souls that come out of the floor are called Messengers. They will help you to understand the game world by giving you important advice on adventure, on certain bosses, or by revealing secrets about the city in order to get new and precious objects. In Dream you will find several messengers who will explain the basics of combat and manage the item store. Through the TACCUINO you can leave messages to these creatures that will provide them to other players to help them in the hunt.
TO SURVIVE YOU HAVE TO CALL IN REINFORCEMENTS
Often the Messengers will advise you to use the CAMPANA, obtained after the meeting with the first boss, to call allies. The game allows you to use an INTUITION point to call, in certain areas, other players or NPCs that will help you to face the enemy. These characters will provide support but can interrupt the collaboration with a GUN SPECIAL that will be provided with the Bell.
