Assassin's Creed Valhalla Update 1.1.1 patch notes

The last patch for the game was released on December 15th, almost a full month ago. The current patch size differs by platform, ranging from 2GB for PlayStation 5 and 7,5GB for Xbox Series X / S. The sizes work at par with the previous patch.

A new upcoming feature is force feedback when using the bow. This update is special because the Xbox is receiving force feedback as well, especially because Microsoft is now investigating the same, or similar, technology that DualSense uses for adaptive triggers.

Some updates include:

Ubisoft Connect Success System

  • The unlock conditions for quests, non-repeatable, countable, and repeatable will activate when a player completes one of the actions after unlocking or completes a quest.

World

  • Fixed various textures and misplaced objects.
  • Fixed numerous areas where the player could get stuck.
  • Prevented the Vinland boat from floating.

IA

  • Changes to various NPC behavior issues.
  • The guards will always react when they see Eivor burning their faction members with jars of oil.
  • Bjorn will not be randomly removed from the ship's crew.

Capabilities, advantages, skills

  • All NPCs will now properly feign death when notified.
  • Fixed issue with Man's Best Friend unlocking after completing the quest A Little Problem
  • Mentor's Set gear perks will now always activate when the conditions are met.

System

  • Added a spawn point before the Extended Family boss fight.
  • Fixed a fast travel issue caused by a previous patch.
  • PlayStation and Xbox controllers now have force feedback when using the arc.

World quests and events

  • Players will no longer have the chance to get stuck in the boss fight for the Cruel Fate quest.
  • The quest marker in the Legend of Beowulf will now properly disappear after studying it.
  • NPCs for a sticky situation will now spawn correctly
  • The Binding Fate boss will no longer get stuck underground after using the Dive of Valkyrie ability

Assassin's Creed Valhalla launched in a much more stable state than others like Unity and the constant quality of life updates will cement it as one of the best must-have games in the long-running franchise.

These are just a few of the updates in a long list of upcoming in-game changes, most of which are quality of life fixes rather than big additions. Players can see a full list on the Ubisoft website.
