Animal Crossing New Horizons - All Snowflakes & Frozen Items & DIY Recipes

How to get snowflakes and frozen craft recipes

Much like the previous events which had a large number of recipes and craft items, the winter event has a few options for getting DIY snowflake recipes. Much like in previous seasons, you'll still want to keep an eye out for floating balloons that you can shoot down with a slingshot to potentially receive a seasonal DIY recipe. It is usually helpful to listen to the noise they make, as well as keep an eye on the coast they are coming from and diligently check all around the island.

Fortunately, there are other ways to do this, so you don't have to rely too much on random balloons appearances. During the winter months (December to February in the north and June to August in the south), you can also find snowflake recipes in message bottles on your island beach or on mysterious islands you you visit, as well as receive them from your other villagers if you talk to them often enough. Check if they are in their house and they are making, then talk to them to see what they could do. Finally, you can get one every day in the morning announcement, so it's a good idea to check in frequently.

But that's just for the Snowflake items, there is a whole different set of frozen or frozen DIY recipes that you will want to collect. Making a perfect snowboy will give you a frozen DIY recipe that's similar but still different to the snowflake set, so check out this guide on how to do it if you need help. What kind of recipes could you receive? How can you make sure you have them all? Check out the full list below.
