To recap, here's how to mute other players in Destruction AllStars.

- Find the Game Chat card.
- Press the Square button to turn off voice chat.
It works that way because Destruction AllStars handles voice chat differently from most other games. The game essentially creates a temporary party and places every player in the session inside. It dissolves voice chat after every match, but you will be placed in a new voice chat group with new players whenever you find a new match.
You can work around this problem by creating your own PSN group. You can sit alone on your own or invite your group of friends and play together. If you are using group chat, you won't have to worry about game chat at all.
Game chat is part of the AllStars Destruction experience, but hearing 16 other players at once can be annoying. This is especially true given that the DualSense controller has a built-in microphone, so some people will stream noise from their TV and surroundings through their controller's microphone and into your ears. It's fun to hear other players when you score a good knockout or wreck their car, but it's not fun to listen to other people's music go through their microphones or hear someone else. 'nibble on some crisps while you try to enjoy the game.
AllStars Destruction is now available on PlayStation 5.
