10 of the most expensive Steam collectible cards

Steam Trading Cards are an unusual addition to the Steam marketplace. They are similar to their physical counterparts of the same name, but they are virtual cards earned by playing and progressing through the game and collecting. Up to half of the number of cards in a single game fall during play. The other half must be collected through trading or buying in the market.

When dealing with an online marketplace, people are more than happy to list items for outrageous amounts. Pokémon fans are all too familiar with this sentiment, as the Global Trade System was riddled with common Pokémon asking in return for Legendaries or Rare events.

We took a look around the market to find the most expensive cards. These aren't serious prices - at least we're hoping people won't buy a community card for over $ 1. Sellers can show or use it to list a card and create a bidding war so they can choose an offer they prefer.
