But there is something attractive about a broken gun. Breaking down the carefully curated design of a game is one of the game's greatest pleasures, and that's what makes these completely overpowered weapons great. Of course, it's boring to be the reception, but that's all part of the fun. This is just a game - and these terribly unbalanced weapons made our lives miserable until we unlocked them ourselves.
Phlogistinator and Kritzkrieg combo [[]
This absurd combo is the end of the strongest defense. Technically, it's not a single weapon - it's two weapons, with two players working together. Both of these weapons are utterly ridiculous, but combine their powers and become the bane of the player's entire existence.
The Phlogistinator is a unique Pyro flamethrower that shoots heat waves instead of fire. It's not that impressive - as long as you don't charge the "Mmph" meter, you increase your critical strike chance and invulnerability. Add these powers to the Kritzkrieg, which when powered up grants 100% critical hits to your ally and you become an unstoppable team. Engineer's turrets are reduced to rubble in seconds and the Heavies crumble before this gun combo goes insane.
Of course, they were nerfed. Each weapon on this list must be nerfed, otherwise it does not belong to the OP standard.
Gun [[]
Everyone knows how OP the standard pistol was. It was very precise at any distance, had a zoom function, and could kill players with just a handful of hits on the dome. Trained multiplayer morons like myself have religiously trolled friends with just the gun - just point your head and click away to end any battle. There are no downsides.
This is why the gun was drastically changed to. Once an unbeatable magnum with a rifle scope, the pistol became a polka dot shooter in Halo 2 - it lacked none of the sniper characteristics of the original. It's probably for the best, but I still miss the original gun.
