There is a collection of characters that we hope to at least make an appearance in Marvel's Avengers. If that's any indication, Black Panther is another one we'll need to add to this growing list. Marvel Entertainment's YouTube channel is showing never-before-seen gameplay footage in a video series called "War Table." In the third episode of the series, the comic book company hinted that it had some surprising plans for Black Panther that had something to do with the game, but decided to postpone them for now.
Due to the passing of Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman, the first 60 seconds of the third episode were in complete silence. During, a superhero logo appeared with the message: "Marvel's Avengers fans, out of respect for a true fallen hero, we have changed what we show today."
This led fans to believe that Black Panther would have been revealed as a playable character, until, presumably, Marvel wisely chose to let the character remain primarily associated with Boseman for now. It's always going to be a tough topic to tackle, but it looks very likely that Black Panther will be playable in the future.
Many say the logo has the same styling as the game's design. Plus, it looks like a fourth War Table stream will be arriving sooner than expected. In the last episode, it was detailed that the next reveal will come shortly after launch and should cover the elements mentioned in the previous video.
Fortunately, Black Panther will have no cost, if shown, as all DLC characters will be completely free. However, there will be a battle pass type progression system for each hero and cost players around $ 10 for each.
It must be remembered that this possibility wouldn't exist if it weren't for Boseman and his ability to put the character back in pop culture. For those wishing to watch the Black Panther movie, the movie is currently available through Disney +, along with some of its others, like Da 5 Bloods, streaming on Netflix.
