It's been almost a year, but since it was announced that Google will fix Android's latest security issues, we haven't seen a Patch yet. No updates of any kind. So what's going on? Is this a problem with us, with Google or with the company that produced the cell phone? Here are some valid reasons:
The problem is precisely Android. Why do Apple products receive their patches almost immediately and in sync? Because there are few main models. How many models are there with Android inside? Over 800 models of different revisions and versions. Each of these with a different hardware and therefore a processor that may not be optimized for the new functions. Android is even included in refrigerators, televisions, and more. This expansion creates huge delays.
Sometimes, however, it is the companies behind the device. Not only does Google have to manage updates for Android, but it also has to set up operations for all customized reviews from various companies. For example, Samsung uses TouchWiz and Huawei has long considered its EmotionUI. They are based on Android, but they are different and therefore have to modify operating systems at their own expense. This means that, at times, templates can end up being ignored and never updated to save costs.
The mobile is modified. Maybe you are not aware of it, or maybe you ignore it: but Rootare your cell phone not only invalidates the warranty, in many cell phones nowadays it also blocks updates forever. Therefore, to update your mobile phone you must always go and get the Zip of the latest version to be applied in Recovery.
La ROM it's not hers. This is most likely if you have bought a cell phone with an operating system that is not yours. Always check if there is a more updated version for your Smartphone and how you can do to get it, since some custom operating systems for Android do not have an automatic or functional update.
Finally, remember how to update via phone settings:
Device Info> Software Updates> Update or Check for Updates
