Mario Kart Ride The Coin Rush option lets you spend those hard-earned (or purchased) Rubies to travel a course as Golden Mario, collecting coins along the way. Is the option worth it?
What is Coin Rush In Mario Kart Tour?
Coin Rush lets you spend rubies to run around a course as Golden Mario, collecting coins. Depending on how many rupees you spend, the coins you collect will be multiplied, which means that you can potentially earn huge amounts of coins this way.
- 5 jewels - coins x 2
- 15 jewels - coins x 5
- 25 jewels - coins x 10
There will be over 300 coins on the track, with red coins and blue coins worth more value. Golden Mario has a very large void effect, so you just have to hold the middle line and you will collect every coin on the track.
To start a Coin Rush, click on the + symbol next to your coin counter at the top of the screen, then choose the number of rupees you wish to spend.
Is Coin Rush Worth It?
It's a decision that only you can make, but there will certainly be times when it makes sense to race for coins. If you check out the shop and have a driver, kart or glider you want in the daily selection, giving you the option to buy it with coins, it makes sense to do so. If the coin rush gets you the number of coins you need to buy the item, with an X2 multiplier, that's a much better investment of 5 rupees than pulling the pipe.
The pipe can give you what you want, but if Coin Rush can guarantee it, then that's the best use of your hard-earned Rubies. Whether or not you use Rush depends on your coin count, what's available in the store, and how much you really want to get your hands on a specific item.
