At Mount Magmeow, you will have to dodge the rotating fireballs while climbing the switch platforms to the top. Unlike other levels, this stage actually changes quite drastically between level resets. When you come back for the second challenge, your goal is something unique! You'll have to get to the top of the mountain instead of facing off against a miniboss near the lighthouse. From the top of the mountain you can even get a very cool open world shard.

Guide to 100% Completion of Mount Magmeow | All the cat shines and the cat parts
Chat Shine # 1: The Bowser blocks are just to the right of the front door steps. Impossible to miss! Wait until after you complete the level and the black mud is removed.
Cat Piece # 1: Under the first stone bridge at the start of the level. To reach it, look into the space between the rocky platforms and the lava falls. There is a green switching platform that you can piece together.
Cat Piece # 2: On the first green switch platform that you need to use to progress, there is a platform with a Fire Bro and this Cat Shine Shard.
Cat Piece # 3: On the cliffs of the mountains, you will have to squeeze through small crevices with rotating fireballs. After two of these little caves, you'll find a jump with the cat room below. Slide along the wall and pull up the wall to grip it securely.
Cat Piece # 4: Reach the second green switch platform and continue to climb it until the end of the tracks. Dive under the rocks near the end of the trail and jump over the wall to find a secret alcove with this room.
Cat Piece # 5: Going up the second green switch platform on the slopes, you will have to jump to a third one inside the big cat's mouth on the mountain. To the right, there is an area surrounded by blocks. Use a Boomerang or Cat Mario Power-Up to break the blocks and collect the shard.
Chat Shine # 2: Collect the 5 cat coins to earn this shard.
Chat Shine # 3: Reach the end of the stage to face a Prince Bully. To hurt this miniboss, go for it to bounce it towards one of the glass pipes. Keep bouncing until it enters a pipe and falls back into a much smaller version. You can now trample it to deal damage! Repeat three times to win the battle.
Chat Shine # 4: For the second trip, the level gets much more treacherous when you find a path to the top of Mount Magmeow. There's a new gadget - tap the “! »Blocks to change the tracks on the green switching paths. Keep following the trails until you reach a glass pipe entrance under a rock outcrop. This will take you straight to the top.
Chat Shine # 5: The final Cat Shine is easy in comparison. A big blue button appears at the entrance. It's a rough obstacle with green switching platforms - climb to the top, jump all the dangers and you will get it.
