Coins are the lifeblood of Mario Kart Tour. Players who don't want to rely on the in-game premium currency, Ruby, for procuring items or for new pilots are going to have to farm coins. You can use coins to buy from the daily choices available. These options change often enough to provide players with a decent variety. But they are expensive. You have to play a lot to make these coins worth it.
How to farm coins in Mario Kart Tour
Coin Rush
There are a few methods of farming coins. The most obvious option for players is to participate in the Coin Rush activity. Coin Rush is a course in which you will receive a multiplier for the number of rubies you spend to browse it. Here are the rupees you have to pay to go on the course and the multiplier you will receive:
- 5 jewels: coins x 2
- 15 jewels: coins x 6
- 25 jewels: coins x 10
When you take the course, you drive as Gold Mario, a golden version of Mario. It will suck up any coin it gets close to, which will make it easier to collect all the coins on the trail. However, a lot of what you receive is multiplied by one of the three choices you are going to spend.

The ideal course
For those who prefer not to use rubies, they can simply follow a particular course over and over again. The Yoshi circuit is a great course for those who want to get a high degree of coins. The track is overall smooth and, if you time the turns correctly, you will find yourself racking up coins over and over again. Although it helps to have a pilot who has a privileged course. You can check which favorite courses your drivers have by viewing them in the "Drivers" option in the menu.
By choosing a preferred course, you increase the likelihood of obtaining more useful material. The more damage and mayhem you cause to other pilots on the map, the more points you will get at the end of the race. You also have the option of getting three boxes containing coins.
Can you buy them?
Beyond the standard method of play, do players have the option of purchasing coins? The answer is no. You do not have. While players are free to purchase Mario Kart Tour Rubies from the in-game store, they do not have the option of purchasing the coins. However, if you think about it, you are spending the money to buy Rubies which will allow you to play the Coin Rush game. But there is no clear method of paying a fixed amount of money for a given amount of coins in the game.
You better play with one of your drivers on the route they prefer. You'll get a lot of coins, as you'll frequently hit other drivers with all of your item boxes, and the chance of getting item boxes increases with three available.
