We have analyzed on the web what they are the words that are most distorted during the search, what came out of it? Wazzap, Feisbuk, Striming…. we found some really hilarious. The thing that struck us is the search volume that some of these words have. Thousands and thousands of monthly searches are made using as a keyword of the search bar of engines such as Google (or Gogle) a completely reinvented word of the tech language.
Let me be clear: we don't want to make fun of anyone, just have a laugh. We all make mistakes and we're just here to give you two numbers that show that certain mistakes are much more common than you think.
We've all heard Wazzap
There are those who have a relative who says “I am writing to you on wazzap” and those who lie. We've all heard it at least once and a smile escaped us, maybe we even made fun of the poor person who said it. Well, you know that if the people of people who say "Wazzap" were to come together ... they would be many.
With the help of a seo tool, we decided to look at the search volumes of some of the weird words we often hear. It turned out that “Wazzap” is searched more than twelve thousand times a month on Google. Even more sought after is the phrase “Wazzap updateWhich has a volume that exceeds 27 monthly searches. It is better not to antagonize the aunt who misses the pronunciation, we could find ourselves facing an army.
To stay on the wazzap theme ... "Good morning images"
Yes, we understand where the boomers and the sciure take pictures of the dogs to say good morning. Apparently on Google the keywords "good morning images" are searched around 165 times a month. This is followed by the terms "very good morning images" with 74 thousand searches and then "very good morning funny" and "very good morning phrases" which are searched monthly about 50 thousand times each. I thought they were images that arrived randomly on the phone and circulated on wazzap, but apparently this is not the case. There is commitment behind it.

From wazzap we move on to Feisbuk
With the pronunciation here we are, in fact it just says "Feisbuk". The famous social network is now popular even in the more "mature" sections of the population who may not have great familiarity with English. Precisely for this reason, many still struggle to write Facebook correctly and therefore this is how on Google the term Feisbuk is searched more than 90 times a month. If you are thinking of opening a platform maybe you should call it just that, the statistics show that many would look for you.

iPhone or aifon, that's the problem
Well, even the very famous Apple smartphone is the victim of misunderstandings. Think of the wording "Aifon s 6 plus" exceeds 40.5 thousand monthly searches. Even future buyers, who start with the best of intentions, are wrong. The term "aifon" has only 1.6 thousand clicks per month and in fact for the newer models there are not many badly written searches. Perhaps the word has spread and now it is known that it is not written aifon but iPhone, iCapito? (sorry, I love puns)
Google or Google?
I have often heard "Gogle" instead of "gugol" but I didn't think so many people were looking for the word written this way. "Gogle" is typed over 200 times a month, in all its forms, Gogle Maps, Gogle translator, Gogle My business, etc. Instead, Gugol has less popularity, only 12 thousand monthly searches. The funny thing? Most of these words are entered in the search bar of… Google.

Wazzap audio can be listened to with bloutoot headphones
Another misspelled word is “Bloutoot”, which should be written Bluetooth but which in reality many find it hard to remember. So you write it a bit as it comes, to the point that Cuffie Bloutoot is crippled about 110 thousand times, the reference is always to the time frame of one month. If you are a manufacturer of Bluetooth headphones, you already know how to name the next line of headphones.

All these words to influence
Well, now the influencers have become famous people in their own right. Partly because many like to make fun of these new figures, partly because you don't know how to spell ... “Influenzer” is searched on Google more than 4 times a month. The wording “influencer marketing” also has a considerable volume of research, which in my opinion suggests that even those who despise or know little about it are attracted by the business model that has been created around this phenomenon. If you think about it, it is based on the oldest but most effective type of marketing in the world: word of mouth.

Are you watching a striming movie tonight?
Another word that made us smile was "Striming". Many write in the Google bar “Striming” or “Striming movie”, between 3 and 4 thousand people every month. The volume is not very high but if you think about it no one is looking for more online streaming content since there are platforms like Netflix or Amazon Prime Video, or Disney +. This term perhaps went more some time ago. Also because trying to type those words opens illegal streaming portals that can compromise the device if you are not practical.

These words are often heard on TV, on social media, they are English-speaking terms that are not part of the Italian language. The difficulty is understandable especially for those who are not used to technology or foreign languages. The fact that we have such an important search volume is a good sign though: it means that even those who don't know are actually trying to update and learn.
What other "wrong" words do you know besides Wazzap, Feisbuk and Gogle? If there are some that we have missed, write them to us, so we will do a search to understand how many misspell them.
